Authorities have confirmed the location of three boys who were reported missing after they vanished from a New Jersey train station on Friday. The teenagers were found in Stamford, Connecticut.
An extensive initial search involving K-9 units and drones was conducted, but investigators later shifted their focus to a missing persons inquiry upon determining the boys had left the immediate area of their disappearance.
The trio was last observed at the Denville Train Station at approximately 5:30 p.m. local time on Friday. They were subsequently spotted by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) at a train station in Stamford on Saturday afternoon.
During the interaction with MTA officers in Stamford, one of the teenagers, identified as Connolly, was taken into protective custody. However, the other two boys, both 14 years old, departed the scene.
Officials indicated that the boys appeared to have left their initial location voluntarily. The timeline for their reunion with their parents remains uncertain at this time.
