Mustafa Ali Successfully Defends TNA International Championship in Chaotic Triple Threat at Slammiversary as Uhaa Nation Makes Debut
The reigning champion faced an unforeseen triple-threat challenge from Rich Swann and the debuting Uhaa Nation, ultimately retaining his title with assistance.

Mustafa Ali entered Total Nonstop Action Wrestling’s (TNA) Slammiversary event prepared for an open challenge for his International Championship, yet the identity of his opponent remained a mystery until the pre-show.
Ali had previously informed his social media followers that TNA’s director of operations, Daria Rae, was slated to announce his challenger during the Slammiversary pre-show. However, Ali opted not to wait, making his way to the ring ahead of schedule during the broadcast.
An Unexpected Triple Threat Unfolds
As Rae began to reveal the challenger, she was interrupted by TNA director of authority, Santino Marella. Both Marella and Rae then declared that they each had an opponent for Ali, transforming the planned one-on-one open challenge into an unexpected triple-threat contest.
The first competitor introduced was Rich Swann. Following this, Uhaa Nation made his debut appearance for TNA. Nation is widely recognized for his tenure in another major wrestling promotion, where he competed as Apollo Crews, holding both the Intercontinental and U.S. championships. As the match commenced, Nation quickly asserted dominance, tossing Ali from the ring and concentrating his initial efforts on Swann.
Order 4's Crucial Intervention Secures Victory
Ali found himself in a challenging position, needing to contend with the combined strength and agility of both his adversaries. A pivotal moment arrived when he received assistance from Order 4 members Tasha Steelz and Special Agent Zero. Their intervention created a crucial distraction for Nation as he was on the verge of incapacitating Swann.
Special Agent Zero then directly neutralized Nation, shifting the dynamic back to a one-on-one scenario within the ring. Capitalizing on the opportunity, Ali evaded Swann’s offense, executing a backslide pin with a bridge. The referee completed the three-count, securing the victory and allowing Ali to celebrate the successful defense of his championship.
Ali's Dominant Reign in TNA
This successful defense marks a significant moment in Ali’s International Championship reign, which is his first since joining TNA in 2024. Upon his arrival, he quickly captured the X Division Championship and was subsequently recognized as the X Division Star of the Year in his inaugural year with the company.
Since forming Order 4, Ali has maintained a formidable win-loss record. He initially claimed the TNA International Championship by defeating Trey Miguel at the Rebellion event in Cleveland in April, and his momentum has continued unabated since that victory.
