WWE Crown Jewel Confirmed for November 2026 in Riyadh, Rounds Out Annual Calendar

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) confirmed on Tuesday the inclusion of its Crown Jewel premium live event in the 2026 calendar. This announcement solidifies the event's return, dispelling previous uncertainty regarding its scheduling.

Crown Jewel is set to take place on November 7 at the Riyadh Season Stadium within the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). This staging further reinforces the ongoing collaboration between WWE and Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, a partnership that has brought several major wrestling events to the region.

Event Details and Unique Format

The upcoming 2026 Crown Jewel event will mark the second time this specific championship format, featuring inter-brand titleholders, is hosted in Saudi Arabia. The inaugural event of this structure occurred in Saudi Arabia in 2024, while a similar championship presentation was featured in Perth, Australia, last year.

Crown Jewel stands out among WWE's premium live events due to its distinctive format. It brings together the reigning men’s and women’s champions from both the Raw and SmackDown brands to compete against each other. Competitors vie for the coveted Crown Jewel Championship and a special commemorative ring, adding a unique prestige to the event.

In recent years, the men’s division saw Cody Rhodes triumph over Gunther in 2024, followed by Seth Rollins defeating Rhodes in the equivalent event last year. On the women’s side, Liv Morgan secured victory against Nia Jax in 2024, and Stephanie Vaquer emerged victorious over Tiffany Stratton in last year's competition.

Current Landscape and Potential Matchups

While plans for the 2026 show are still subject to change, current scenarios suggest compelling potential matchups. In the men's division, a highly anticipated WrestleMania 42 rematch could see Roman Reigns face CM Punk. For the women, a potential clash between Liv Morgan and Chelsea Green is on the horizon. However, these matchups hinge on the respective champions successfully defending their titles leading up to Crown Jewel, a feat that, while challenging, remains achievable.

The path to Crown Jewel is fraught with challenges for many current titleholders. CM Punk is currently fending off a host of contenders from the SmackDown brand, including Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Randy Orton, any of whom could potentially unseat him. Roman Reigns is scheduled to defend his title against Penta in Mexico City later this month, but he also faces persistent pressure from LA Knight, who is eager for a championship opportunity.

Liv Morgan, despite her recent victory over Iyo Sky at SummerSlam, has faced criticism from her peers for not being a consistently "fighting champion." She also has formidable challengers in Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch vying for her championship. Meanwhile, Chelsea Green, who has been sidelined due to injury, may first need to overcome Nia Jax to progress in her potential championship pursuit.

With the addition of Crown Jewel, WWE's calendar for the latter half of 2026 is now robust, featuring other significant events such as Sunday Night's Main Event, Money in the Bank, Survivor Series: WarGames, and Wrestlepalooza: Perth.
