Reality television personality Kim Zolciak has strongly denied aggravated sexual battery and aggravated sodomy charges filed against her 15-year-old son, Kroy Jagger, following his arrest in Alpharetta, Georgia, on August 17.
Aggravated Charges and Adult Prosecution
Kroy Jagger, known as KJ, faces serious accusations and is being prosecuted as an adult under Georgia's SB440 law. This legislation grants adult superior courts jurisdiction over teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17 when they are accused of certain violent felonies.
Mother's Firm Denial and Defense
Zolciak released a statement expressing profound concern over the allegations, describing them as "reckless and deeply troubling." She unequivocally stated her son's innocence regarding any involvement with the accuser or the conduct described.
"He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged," Zolciak asserted. "My son voluntarily took a polygraph examination regarding these allegations and passed. Additionally, an examination was conducted, and no DNA belonging to my son was found."
The television personality also raised questions about the accuser's past, noting that the individual has reportedly made similar claims against two other people. Zolciak emphasized that such patterns warrant careful scrutiny.
"False accusations can have devastating consequences not only for the person being accused, but also for genuine survivors of sexual assault and abuse," Zolciak commented. "Every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence. At the same time, no one should be publicly condemned based solely on an accusation."
Zolciak reiterated her confidence that the evidence will ultimately reveal the truth and urged the public to allow the legal process to unfold without spreading unproven claims.
"We remain confident that the facts and evidence will establish the truth, and we ask that people allow the proper process to take its course rather than spreading unproven allegations," she stated.
Legal Proceedings and Family Context
Currently, KJ is being held without bond at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September.
KJ is the eldest son of former NFL player Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak. The couple also shares children Kash, 14, and 12-year-old twins Kaia and Kane. Biermann previously adopted Zolciak's daughters, Ariana and Brielle, from a prior relationship. Both Zolciak and Biermann initiated divorce proceedings in 2023, concluding their 11-year marriage.
