Queen Camilla Reportedly Puts Past Differences Aside as King Charles Seeks Stronger Family Bonds

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived back in the United Kingdom on August 26, with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, expected to begin their schooling in Britain this September.

Royal analysts suggest that King Charles, who is currently undergoing treatment for an unspecified form of cancer, wishes to cultivate a relationship with his grandchildren. They believe Queen Camilla is prepared to support her husband in this endeavor, as Prince Harry reportedly hopes for a reconciliation with his family.

Prior to the Sussexes' return, King Charles met with Harry, Meghan, and their children at Highgrove House on July 10. Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl for Vanity Fair later reported, citing sources, that "not even the Prince and Princess of Wales were made aware that the meeting was taking place." Queen Camilla was present at this gathering.

Nicholl noted, "While Prince William and King Charles are not in lockstep over how to handle Prince Harry’s return, they understand that they are a unit with their respective wives." She added that William "wouldn’t expect Camilla to take a stand against her husband anymore than Charles would expect that of Kate."
